Just when you thought playgrounds where just for fun and games, Studio PSK repurposes the playground atmosphere for an array of sonic amusement. Partnering with beat-boxer Reeps One, the design practice created an exhibit that not only creates amusement and leisure on a adult scale but restructures the recreational equipment to trigger sounds and frequencies.

The interactive exhibit was fabricated out of timber and utilizes the standard equipment that you would find at any playground like a climbing area, a slide and even swings. The twist is that each one of these features has build in technology to produce sound when touched. The installation creates this musical framework by combing custom electronics, printed textile, and BARE conductive paint. This landscape of audio technology, innovative interactive concepts and traditional recreational structures are transformed into a symphony of sound when simply touched.
